i-Conference statement of purpose

ACREOL Global is excited to welcome you to Kigali, Rwanda, for the 10th Advance Care Planning International Conference – 22nd-24th September 2027.
The conference promises to stimulate insightful discussion and healthy debate, providing grassroots perspectives from consumers and health professionals. This will include sharing stories and diverse lived experiences, exploring approaches to advance care planning in a culturally safe and inclusive environment.
The conference’s call to action is to inspire new ways of thinking, and approach advance care planning in a way that positively shapes the outcomes that matter most to individuals, families and communities.

Dr. Christian Ntizimira

Dr. Christian Ntizimira is the author of an African book bestseller on death and dying, “The Safari Concept: An African Framework on End-of-Life Care,” and the Founder/Executive Director of the African Center for Research on End-of-Life Care (ACREOL), a nonprofit organization to bring socio-cultural equality through “Ubuntu in End-of-Life Care” in Africa. He is a Fulbright alumnus and graduated from Harvard Medical School, Department of Global Health and Social Medicine. He has been vetted as an Ashoka Fellow (2025) and named one of the 100 Most Influential CEOs in Oncology.
